Market is a professional workspace for independent people and businesses in Peckham, southeast London. Located in Cornerhouse, a stone’s throw from Peckham Rye station, the 1908 Edwardian building has been redeveloped to become a home to small businesses and freelancers who value being together, living and working differently in the local neighbourhood.
Cornerhouse is set across seven floors and offers a home for coffee, drinks, food, work, fitness and more. Market’s shared workspace sits at the heart of all of this, providing hot desks, fixed desks and studios as well as community memberships and business support initiatives designed to promote small businesses in the local area.
The building has been curated to offer productive and fulfilling working days, beginning with coffee at Daydreamer and a workout at Milo and the Bull‘s fitness or pilates studio. Find a quiet productive corner or lead a big team meeting in the workspace, then re-fuel with lunch specials from Tonkotsu‘s steamy noodle bar. As the working day ends the mood shifts, we’re lucky enough to have Forza Wine‘s iconic roof terrace upstairs and (for the more adventurous) Vespers independent music venue offering as much after-work activity as you need!
Both Market and Cornerhouse were designed and developed by the small team of architects at Frame, and are independent operating businesses run by Nick Mansour and Simon Thorpe.
